The Medical Assistant supports the provider team by assisting with patient care, documentation, clinical workflows, and managing daily clinic operations, including rooming patients and obtaining medical history and vital signs. Responsibilities also involve maintaining exam rooms, completing required clinic logs, managing provider inboxes, and providing front office support when necessary.
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with graduation from an accredited healthcare program or equivalent experience, specifically two years as a Medical Assistant in pediatrics or family medicine. Candidates must maintain current certifications, possess a current BLS card, and have strong computer skills, with EMR experience preferred.
