The Registered Nurse maintains established standards of care, policies, objectives, and goals while administering professional nursing care to all patients. This includes identifying patient needs through assessment, planning and delegating care, and evaluating the patient's response to treatment.
Candidates must be graduates of a state board School of Nursing and possess a current Alabama or Multi-state Nursing License, with BLS for Healthcare Providers required during orientation. Experience is preferred, but new graduates are accepted, and excellent communication skills are necessary for this fast-paced environment.
Overview Executes appropriate patient care by assisting the physicians with diagnostic procedures. Supports team members before, during, and following procedures to assure optimal patient care.
Education: High School diploma/GED required. License, certification and/or registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists eligibility. BCLS certification required within 90 days of employment. ACLS certification is required within 12 months of employment. EKG Competency Testing is required within the first 90 days of employment and annually: (Part 1) Visual identification of 6 Lethal Cardiac Rhythms, passing with a score of 100%; (Part 2) Basic EKG Rhythms written examination, passing with a score of 85% or higher.
