In Your Day-To-Day, You Will
Triage incoming emergency patients, perform patient assessments, and partner with veterinarians to develop and carry out diagnostic and treatment plans.
Deliver exceptional nursing care by administering treatments, monitoring hospitalized patients, recognizing changes in patient status, and advocating for their comfort and well-being.
Perform advanced technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, diagnostic sample collection, radiography, anesthesia induction, monitoring and recovery, surgical nursing, and other procedures within your scope.
Support efficient patient flow throughout the Emergency and Critical Care department while maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring high standards of patient care.
Communicate compassionately with clients by providing updates, educating them on treatment plans, and supporting admissions, discharges, and overall patient care.
Collaborate closely with veterinarians and fellow technicians in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Contribute to a positive hospital culture by maintaining a collaborative attitude, supporting your teammates, and continuing to grow your clinical skills through learning and professional development.
What You Bring
Credentialed Veterinary Technician (RVT, CVT, LVT, or equivalent) with strong technical skills, including IV catheter placement, venipuncture, anesthesia induction and monitoring, patient preparation and recovery, surgical nursing, dental prophylaxis, radiography, and perioperative patient care.
Previous experience in veterinary medicine with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced emergency and specialty environment.
A collaborative, team-first mindset with the initiative to jump in where needed and support your colleagues to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate clients, work effectively with veterinarians and fellow team members, and adapt your communication style to a variety of situations.
