The specialist will engage individuals empathetically, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to assess and plan services for consumers in an urgent care setting, including delivering support for complex physical, mental health, and substance abuse needs. Duties also involve sharing recovery stories, assisting with self-screening tools, integrating physical and mental health care, and developing wellness plans.
Applicants must be a Certified Peer Support Specialist, at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED, and possess a primary diagnosis of a mental health condition. A key requirement is having strong personal knowledge from first-hand lived experience with a mental health condition that caused substantial life disruption, including having received mental health treatment for at least one year.
