Job Description
ATC Healthcare is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment supporting invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedures in an acute care setting. The technologist plays a critical role in preparing procedure rooms, operating fluoroscopy and digital imaging systems, recording hemodynamic data, and maintaining strict sterile technique and radiation safety. Candidates must have electrophysiology (EP) lab experience and be comfortable supporting complex cardiac procedures and advanced cath lab equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and set up cath lab rooms and equipment for cardiac and EP procedures
Operate fluoroscopy and digital imaging acquisition systems
Perform hemodynamic monitoring and documentation
Ensure accurate patient and procedure data entry in lab systems
Maintain strict aseptic and sterile technique during procedures
Support physicians during invasive cardiac and EP cases
Operate specialized equipment such as IVUS, ICE, contrast injectors, and assist devices
Monitor ECG and recognize rhythm changes during procedures
Act as radiation safety representative during imaging use
Perform daily equipment checks and stock supplies
Assist with patient positioning, transport, and safety measures
Follow all patient safety, infection control, and privacy protocols
Qualifications
EP (Electrophysiology) lab experience required
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or related healthcare program required
