Job description

7:00pm-7:30am, to include some weekends\n\nFunctions under the direction of the Director of Nursing Quality and Excellence.\nThe RN Patient Flow Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and optimizing\npatient movement throughout the hospital to ensure safe, efficient, and timely\ntransitions of care. The coordinator collaborates with nursing units, providers,\ncase management, bed management, the ED, procedural areas, and ancillary\ndepartments to reduce bottlenecks, improve throughput, and maintain appropriate\ncapacity. Clinical judgment, real-time data, and operational awareness are used\nto facilitate admissions, discharges, and transfers.\n\nRequired: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Licensed to practice as a\nRegistered Nurse in South Carolina; Two to three years of hospital clinical\nnursing experience in designated practice area. CPR within 1 month of\nemployment.\n\nPreferred: BSN or Baccalaureate degree in health related field; Practice\nexperience in Critical Care, Emergency Care or Surgical Care. National\ncertification.
