The assistant provides occupational therapy services to patients under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, following the established plan of care and reassessing patient status on each visit. This includes accurately administering tests, implementing treatment strategies, and communicating patient progress to the supervising therapist and interdisciplinary team.
Candidates must be a graduate of an approved Associate Degree program as a COTA and currently licensed or eligible for licensure in Ohio, with one to two years of experience in a hospital or rehabilitation facility preferred. A valid Ohio driver's license, current CPR certification, and the ability to lift patients are also required.
