The Certified Medical Assistant performs both clinical and clerical duties within a patient-centric care model, including preparing patients, documenting in EPIC, performing specialized tests like phlebotomy, and ensuring patient safety through protocol adherence. They also communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team, and may act as a resource or trainer for other staff members.
Required qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent and completion of a recognized MA program or one year of MA experience to qualify for certification. Candidates must possess current Medical Assistant Registration/Certification or an active LPN/RN license, along with current AHA BLS certification, and demonstrate strong customer service and independent problem-solving skills.
Functioning as a team member within a patient centric care delivery model for high quality and service within the practice setting. Able to navigate through multiple information technology platforms and applications proficiently and effectively. Renders direct patient care services under supervision demonstrating Insight’s values to the patient.
High School graduate or equivalent. Completion of a recognized MA program at an accredited college or university or worked 1 year as an MA to meet the requirements to become certified.
Education: N/A Skills: Demonstrate basic computer skills. Experience with EPIC or similar medical operating system. Years of Experience: 1 year experience in direct patient care.
