The respiratory therapist is responsible for assisting, evaluating, and maintaining quality patient care across all age groups, from infants to the elderly. This role involves collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members while providing necessary physical and psychological support to patients and their families.
Applicants must be graduates from an approved Respiratory Therapy School and hold a current Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the state of Kentucky. A minimum of two years of experience in pulmonary or rehabilitation is preferred, along with current BLS certification, and ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within three months of employment.
The respiratory therapist is responsible for assisting, evaluating, and maintaining quality patient care, from infants to elderly; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families. The respiratory therapist should maintain a positive working relationship with his/her staff as well as Physicians, LIP's and ancillary departments.
