The Psychiatric Provider is responsible for delivering high-quality psychiatric services, including comprehensive assessments, medication management, and crisis intervention, while collaborating with medical staff and leadership. Core duties involve participating in integrated care planning and providing oversight of OMH assessments and treatment plans.
Candidates must be a New York State Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a master’s level nursing degree and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, along with familiarity with OMH regulations. Expertise in psychiatric care for individuals with HIV/AIDS is preferred, and subspecialty certification in Addiction Psychiatry or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Board Certification is desirable.

Housing Works fights for funding and legislation to ensure that all people living with HIV/AIDS have access to quality housing, healthcare, HIV prevention, and treatment, among other lifesaving services.
We have three comprehensive healthcare plans to choose from based on your priorities and budget. Housing Works covers most of the plan; you pay a portion, based on your salary. Staff begins accruing PTO immediately for a total of up to 30 days earned in the first year. We offer employees an educational benefit. This money is available for tuition loan reimbursement, tuition costs, and text books.
This position is included in a bargaining unit of Housing Works’ New York City employees represented by a labor union known as the Retail Wholesale and Department Store Union (“RWDSU”). Accordingly, the RWDSU has the exclusive right to bargain over the terms and conditions of employment related to this position and this position may become covered by the terms of a collective bargaining agreement (a “CBA”) between Housing Works and the RWDSU
Salary Range: $80-$90/hourly commensurate with experience
The Psychiatric Provider/Psychiatrist is responsible for delivering high-quality psychiatric services in collaboration with the medical staff, Associate Psychiatric Director, and Chief Psychiatric Officer.
Core responsibilities include comprehensive psychiatric assessments, medication management, crisis intervention, and participation in integrated care planning. The Psychiatric Provider is expected to be knowledgeable about New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) regulations and to provide oversight of OMH assessments and treatment plans.
This position includes three days of direct clinical care and two administrative days focused on supervision, consultation, and system-level planning. Administrative days can be remote.
