The Medical Assistant II prepares patients for examinations, assists providers with procedures, conducts patient intake and discharge according to policy, and collects necessary forms and verifies demographics. This role involves obtaining and processing specimens, administering ordered treatments like injections and nebulizers, and performing simple wound care.

Collect all forms accompanying patient and verify patient demographics and prep chart accurately take age appropriate vital signs
Obtain and process specimens for transport to the lab
Assist provider with complex dressing changes and perform simple wound care and dressing changes and administer injections and nebulizer treatments as ordered and administer peak flow meter test for respiratory assessment
Clean and decontaminate re-usable equipment for autoclave sterilization and set up the exam rooms
• 1-2 yrs of experience working in a Community Health Center/or Physician Office setting, preferred
Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
