This role involves assisting physicians and nursing staff with direct patient care, alongside managing appointments and maintaining patient charts. The position will also perform delegated medical tasks and clerical duties as needed.
Candidates must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant Program and possess current Medical Assistant certification from a recognized body, along with demonstrated skill in venipuncture and required CPR certification. One to two years of medical assisting and office experience is preferred, though a high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with patient care. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Performs delegated medical tasks and may perform clerical duties. Where the electronic system is in use, this position will utilize the system as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and process; and other duties as assigned.
