The Medical Office Assistant is primarily responsible for managing a high volume of incoming patient calls, along with scheduling and confirming appointments for the Primary Care department. This role may also involve logging new patient referrals and providing general front office support to the medical practice.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and either a CNA, Registered Medical Assistant, or EMT certification, or a minimum of 2-5 years of medical assisting experience. Essential requirements include excellent communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, knowledge of EMR/scheduling software, and strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines.

IMS is currently searching for a professional, compassionate and knowledgeable individual to fill the position of Medical Office Assistant in our Primary Care department in Sun City. The Medical Office Assistant is responsible for answering a high volume of incoming calls and the scheduling and confirming of appointments. This position may also be responsible for logging new patient’s incoming referrals, and assisting the front office with work related to the support needs of the medical practice.
