The Hospice Aide provides personal care, hygiene, grooming, and housekeeping assistance to clients in their homes according to the established plan of care. Responsibilities also include preparing meals, reporting changes in condition, maintaining records, and providing sensitive end-of-life care.
Candidates must possess a CNA Certificate approved by the Connecticut Department of Public Health and Addiction Services. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with six months of experience as a Home Care Aide or CNA in a home care agency.
