The Medical Social Worker is responsible for identifying socioeconomic and emotional factors that may impede the effective treatment or recovery of the patient's medical condition. This role requires demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles and understanding the physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of the patient population served.
Required qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Social Work, a current state license to practice, and prior CPR certification. Candidates must also possess a valid driver's license and proficiency in electronic documentation, along with a working knowledge of human behavior and social work theories.
