Medical assistants are responsible for providing physician support and ensuring the facility runs smoothly through various administrative tasks like scheduling, handling referrals, and managing documentation. They also perform clinical duties such as preparing exam rooms, collecting patient vitals and specimens, and assisting with minor surgical procedures.
Candidates must be able to perform a range of administrative and clinical support duties in a UroGyn setting. A Medical Assistant Certification is required within six months of the hire date.
Medical assistants are responsible for providing physician support and ensuring the facility is running smoothly. This support is offered through many varied administrative tasks such as patient scheduling, assisting with referrals and authorizations, answering phones, filing, documenting, scanning, and faxing. Medical assistants also perform a variety of clinical duties such as preparing exam rooms, collecting patient vitals and specimens, assisting in minor surgical procedure injections, and other routine tasks as assigned.
This position works Tuesday - Friday; Day shift hours.
MA Certification required within 6 months of hire.
