The CT Technologist is responsible for capturing precise diagnostic cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. They operate multi and single slice CT equipment while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
Where You’ll Work Bakersfield Memorial Hospital includes 385 general acute beds, 48 licensed critical care beds, 13 state-of-the-art surgical suites, and a full-service Emergency Department with an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Nationally Certified Stroke Center.
In addition, we offer a beautiful Family Care and Birthing Center, the Lauren Small Children's Center including the area's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Family Care Center, a Level II NICU, the Sarvanand Heart, and Brain Center with Kern County's first Bi-Plane Interventional Suite, the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbarics, and many more services.

One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.Every day you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs.
Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging.
This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.
Operation of Multi and Single Slice CT Equipment.
Able to perform a full array of Diagnostic CT Scans on Single and Multiclade CT units.
Able to set up and load power injector for injection of contrast for CT exam.
Sets technical factors and follows established protocols to produce diagnostic images.
Uses positioning and immobilization devices as appropriate in safe and effective manner Wears radiation dosimetry badge at collar and follows radiation protection standards.
Job Requirements Required: Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications and Previous CT experience Medical Radiographer: CA Registered Technologist Computed Tomography Current BLS through American Heart Association (AHA BLS) Preferred: Minimum of two years' as a Radiologic Technologist
Candidates must be a CA Registered Technologist in Computed Tomography with current AHA BLS certification. A minimum of two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist is preferred.
