The Clinical Mammography Technologist performs mammography procedures, processes images for physician interpretation, and produces high-quality mammography, breast ultrasound, and related imaging activities. Responsibilities also include maintaining quality control, completing required logs and tracking performance programs, and managing pathology results.
Candidates must be a graduate of an approved JRCERT program and possess American Registry of Radiologic Technologist certification in radiology and mammography, or be mammography eligible, along with Basic Life Safety certification. Two years of experience in mammography is preferred, and proficiency in breast ultrasound and interventional procedures is desired.
