The primary duties involve operating x-ray equipment to create radiographs as ordered by physicians, which includes positioning and instructing patients, adjusting equipment settings, and ensuring proper exposure factors. The technologist must also perform screening procedures, produce diagnostic images, document exam information, and verify exams on PACS.
Candidates are preferred to have an Associate's Degree in radiological technology and must possess several mandatory certifications, including ARRT-R, state Radiologic Tech license (CA/HI), BLS certification, and a Fluoroscopy license (required in CA within 6 months of hire). Essential functions include patient interaction, image production, and safety monitoring during examinations.

Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of body as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients prior to examination, adjusts the x-ray equipment and determines proper voltage as well as current and desired exposure time for each radiograph.
