The Medical Assistant will manage the daily patient flow for assigned physicians, utilizing triage skills to gather necessary information for health assessments and anticipating physician needs related to patient care. Responsibilities include escorting patients, recording medical data, assisting with phone requests, and performing physician-requested ancillary procedures (excluding IV medication administration).
Required education is a High School Diploma or GED, though graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred. Candidates must possess current MA Certification from an approved body or licensure as an EMT, Oregon LPN, or Oregon RN, along with AHA Basic Life Support certification. Experience requirements include basic knowledge of coding conventions (ICD-10, CM/CPT/HCPCS) and medical practice information systems.

Our MAs collaborate with physicians and non-clinical staff to assure we are providing our community with comprehensive and compassionate health care. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Medical Assistant will be responsible for daily patient flow for each respective physician for whom they work. Must use triage skills to gather information from which designated staff can make appropriate patient health assessments and to anticipate physician's needs as they relate to the patients' medical care. This position does not manage any other caregivers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: Escorts patients to exam rooms and prep for physician assessment. Records and maintains patient's medical data in patient's medical chart. Assists physician with answering phone requests from patients and/or other medical professionals and institutions. Performs a variety of physician-requested ancillary and/or surgical patient procedures. (This excludes the administration of IV medication.) Maintains equipment, instruments supply inventory levels.
