The Counselor is responsible for ensuring the accurate completion of all required patient documentation, including treatment plans and progress notes, in compliance with federal and state standards. This role also involves providing direct counseling services, managing patient crises, facilitating group sessions, and arranging necessary community referrals.
Candidates must possess an Ohio CDCA or higher counseling license, with specific requirements varying based on the Counselor level (I, II, or III) which dictates educational attainment from high school up to a Master's degree. Counselor I candidates with less than one year of experience require a competency development plan with supervision.
