Why This Role Matters Our Occupational Therapists help patients regain independence after illness, injury, or hospitalization. In this role you will:
- Evaluate patient functional abilities and daily living skills
- Develop individualized treatment plans to improve independence
- Teach patients adaptive strategies and new ways to complete daily activities
- Identify home safety risks and recommend modifications or equipment
- Educate patients and caregivers on safe mobility and self-care

- Evaluating patient functional status and independence with daily activities
- Assessing home environments for safety risks and barriers
- Developing individualized treatment plans and therapy goals
- Teaching adaptive techniques for daily living skills
- Recommending and training patients on assistive equipment
- Educating caregivers and family members
- Supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants when appropriate

- Graduate of an Occupational Therapy program accredited by ACOTE
- Eligible for or certified by NBCOT
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of Oregon
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Two years of clinical experience is preferred.
