Nursing - Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

• Black River Health has immediate openings for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department.
• This position Plans and provides comprehensive patient care.
• Manages available nursing resources and collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to provide quality, cost-effective patient care.
• This position is required to float to other nursing departments as necessary, to meet patient care needs.
• This position is located at Black River Memorial Hospital:

SHIFT

Per Diem - Various Shifts (Primarily Nights), 24 hours per pay period, includes every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation

Essential Duties Include

• Provides individualized patient and family-focused care throughout the patient’s stay.
• Evaluates patient assessments and responses to interventions and take appropriate action according to established standards.
• Participates in patient and family education as evidenced by teaching documentation on appropriate forms.
• Delegates patient care activities to appropriate personnel and maintains accountability for those activities.
• Initiates effective discharge and referral plans on admission utilizing appropriate organizational and community resources.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge and demonstrates competence with required registered nurse competencies.

Educational Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• BLS within 3 months of hire
• ACLS and PALS within one year
• ENPC and TNCC within two years
• Current licensed Wisconsin Registered Nurse
