The Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing care of assigned patients in the ICU, directing the care provided by LPNs and Techs. The RN must deliver age-appropriate care across all patient populations while utilizing the six steps of the nursing process.
Candidates must possess an Alabama RN License and must obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire; ACLS and PALS are preferred. The role requires the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, exercise sound judgment, and maintain a professional, positive demeanor.
The ICU Registered Nurse must demonstrate cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel while utilizing the six steps of the nursing process including Assessment, Nursing Diagnosis, Identification of Patient Outcomes, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation.
1. Alabama RN License required. 2. Must have BLS certification within 30 days of hire. ACLS & PALS preferred. 3. Must be able to multi-task in a high-paced environment and possess the ability to exercise sound judgment. 4. Remain professional and demonstrate a positive demeanor with excellent customer service.
