The Orthopedic Physician Assistant manages the global care of clinical and surgical patients, encompassing pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases, including performing histories and serving as a first assistant in surgery. Essential duties involve interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating diagnoses and treatment plans for orthopedic conditions, and performing various minor surgical and diagnostic procedures.
Candidates must have a certificate of completion from college or vocational school and completion of a PA program accredited by the ARC-PA, along with 2-3 years of relevant experience. Required credentials include current California and/or Nevada PA licenses, NCCPA certification, DEA registration, and BLS certification.

$97.97/hour + DOE (Base pay of $87.09 includes 12.5% per diem premium)
Summary The Orthopedic Physician Assistant is responsible for assisting with the global management of clinical and surgical patients. Including pre-, intra-and post-operative care. Orthopedic PAs perform patient histories, help with treatment plans, serve as first assistant in surgery and handle office-related duties.

Minimum Education/Experience Certificate of completion from college or vocational school Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant.
2-3 years relevant experience
National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) - Upon hire
Employee will be enrolled in the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Basic Life Support (BLS) Entry or Prep Curriculum (depending on their previous BLS certification). - Within 3 months of hire into job
