The EEG/ECG Technician performs electroencephalograms (EEGs) and electrocardiograms (ECGs) to aid in diagnosis and patient care, ensuring proper setup, monitoring, and completion of procedures while maintaining patient safety. This role also involves overseeing the ECG workflow within the Intellispace system, documentation, and collaborating with clinical team members.
Candidates must be able to participate in frequent on-call rotations, including weekends, and possess the necessary interpersonal and communication skills for empathetic patient care. Preferred qualifications include being a Registered EEG Tech, ABRET experience, ECG experience, or similar background, along with customer service and computer skills.
Ability to achieve cognitive, organization and emotional maturity to deal effectively with multiple tasks, stresses, deadlines, difficult situations and/or customers. Possesses interpersonal/communication skills necessary for effective, non-judgmental, and empathetic patient care and customer relations. Open to feedback and open to a changing environment, which requires flexibility in scheduling and department assignments. Able to read and write in order to complete medical reports and basic arithmetic is required.
