The role involves performing a variety of Radiology Technology procedures while exercising professional judgment according to established protocols. The technologist must provide appropriate care for all patient populations and demonstrate the ability to work independently.
A minimum of one year of recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist is preferred, and IV certification may be required depending on the role. Candidates must pursue ARRT certification within 12 months of hire if not already certified, and BLS certification is preferred upon hire.
Experience: Minimum recent one year Radiology Technologist experience preferred
Education: IV certification (if applicable)
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R) or AART or AART eligible technologists hired upon graduation must be certified and registered within 12 months of the hire date to remain employed. The first attempt to certification and registered must take place within 3 months of their hire date. BLS Certification by American Heart Association preferred upon hire, required in timeframe specified in CPR (BLS)/ALS/PALS Policy.
