Interns will manage multiple hospitalized and incoming emergency cases under supervision and perform spays, neuters, and basic soft tissue surgeries under guided mentorship. They will also participate in patient care rounds and collaborate with experienced ER veterinarians and specialists.
Candidates must possess a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent and have an active New Jersey veterinary license or eligibility for licensure. They should be highly motivated with strong communication skills and a passion for emergency medicine.

Unlike a traditional rotating internship, this program is specifically designed to provide hands-on clinical experience, individualized mentorship, and professional growth opportunities. Over the course of this immersive year-long program, interns develop the skills and confidence needed to become competent, independent, and productive emergency veterinarians.
