The role involves assisting health educators in meeting resident medical needs, which includes medication passing, attending physician appointments, completing treatments, and documenting tasks. The Certified Medical Assistant will also manage medical supply inventory and may perform phlebotomy duties when trained.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma, a valid Driver's license, and current certification as a Medical Assistant. Required qualifications include excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and strict adherence to patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.

Under the general supervision of the medical operations manager, this role will assist the health educators in providing for the medical needs of our residents. This may include medication passing, attending physician appointments, completing treatments, documenting and/Or other assigned tasks. The certified medical assistant may also act as a phlebotomist when trained appropriately. Responsible for managing medical supply inventory.
Role and responsibilities: · Medication Passing
· Staff Training
· Manage Resident medical appointments
· Schedule/Attend external appointments
· Ensure Vitals are documented/available to Treatment Team
· Documentation management
· E.H.R. Fax Queue Management
· Weekly Cart Count
· Coordinate with the pharmacy during med cart change over to ensure med reconciliation
· Manage bio-hazard collection and removal services
· Inventory and managing all medical supplies
· Lab draw, as directed
· Administer injections, as directed
· Complete/manage TB tests, as directed
Education: · High School Diploma
· Driver’s license
· Certification as a Medical Assistant, required
Preferred skills: · Phlebotomy
· Possesses the ability to work in a constantly changing environment, good judgment skills, and capable of making decisions with attention to detail.
· Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and coordinate workload with a high degree of proficiency and accuracy.
· Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work easily and cooperatively with other departments.
· Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks without direct supervision.
· Ability to work well under pressure in a flexible, diplomatic, and expeditious manner.
· Maintains strict confidentiality of patients’ medical records and adherence to all HIPAA policies and regulations.
· Good overall knowledge of Eisenhower Center departments and their respective scopes
