Perform both clinical and administrative duties to support the delivery of healthcare in a pediatric gastroenterology clinic. Ensure efficient clinic workflows by managing referrals, administrative processes, and patient care support activities.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least six months of experience in a healthcare clinical setting or completion of a Medical Assistant program. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of medical terminology are essential.
Medical Office Assistants perform clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training and experience. Works in both the clinical and front office functions of the practice providing clerical and assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care support activities. The Medical Office Assistant performs duties in accordance with the specific needs of the practice. Work Environment Primary location in Moline with required weekly travel to Galesburg Potential travel to additional outreach clinic locations in Illinois Outpatient pediatric specialty clinic setting Frequent interaction with pediatric patients and families Why This Role Matters The MOA plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient clinic experience for patients and families. By supporting administrative processes, referrals, and clinical workflows, this position helps ensure timely access to care and supports providers in delivering high-quality pediatric GI services.
Previous Pediatric experience preferred.
Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent. Minimum of six months’ experience as a medical office assistant (MOA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent.
