Provide clinical support by assisting physicians with patient exams, procedures, and treatments. Responsible for rooming patients, documenting histories in the EHR, and educating patients on follow-up care.
Requires a valid Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program (e.g., AAMA, NCCT, AMT). Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting and familiarity with EPIC are preferred.
We are seeking a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. This clinical professional will provide support in patient care, assisting with exams, treatments, and patient education. Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR) Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
Valid and current certification in the state of Iowa for Medical Assisting Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – accredited program with certification (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, NCMA, NAHP, AAH, ARMA or NHCA) Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred Familiarity with EPIC a plus! *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs.
