The technician will efficiently perform electroneurodiagnostic studies on inpatients and outpatients, providing age-specific care, clipping and archiving EEG studies, and accurately completing all necessary documentation and charge entries. Additional duties include maintaining equipment, troubleshooting malfunctions, and performing specialized tests like WADA and EEG with PET scans according to guidelines.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited/ABRET recognized EEG program or possess a High School Equivalent/GED, along with a minimum of two years of clinical EEG experience. Required proficiencies include math aptitude, computer skills, medical terminology, knowledge of EEG equipment and electrode placement, and EEG pattern recognition skills, plus holding a BLS certification upon hire.
