The role involves performing various patient care tasks under the direction of a registered nurse, utilizing a patient-centered model for activities like assisting with hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and monitoring vital signs. Essential functions include continuous patient observation, safety checks, and accurate documentation as prescribed by clinical pathways.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and hold a valid and active CNA Certification in the State of Connecticut, along with a valid CPR w/BLS certification from the American Heart Association. A minimum of one year of experience in a long-term care and/or behavioral health setting is required.
