Degrees/Experience: Completed graduate degree (MA, MDiv) in religious studies, theology, divinity or related field. A strong background in functional theology and the ability to apply this in a pastoral manner to individuals and families. Excellent communication skills with knowledge of counseling techniques. Ability to identify clients’ needs with consideration to cultural, ethnic, religious, economic, and other diverse backgrounds Experience and compassion in ministering to those who are dying and their grieving families.

Assist during emergencies, guides families through illness and end‑of‑life processes and promote patient safety. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, participate in care planning, education, and ethical discussions, and supports staff through consultations and training. Contributes to departmental operations, mentoring, and community outreach while upholding organizational values and maintaining active involvement in their faith community. Participates in the QA/CQI process for Advocate Hospice.
