About the Role

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid and current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of employment.
• Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proven experience working as an LVN or in a similar nursing role.
• Strong understanding of nursing practices, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a healthcare facility similar to the job location, such as hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities.
• Additional certifications such as IV therapy or wound care.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills tailored to diverse patient populations.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including monitoring vital signs, administering prescribed medications, and assisting with daily living activities.
• Document patient information accurately and timely in medical records to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist physicians and registered nurses during examinations, treatments, and medical procedures.
• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-treatment care instructions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Skills

• The LVN utilizes clinical skills daily to assess patient conditions, administer medications, and perform nursing procedures with precision and care.
• Strong communication skills are essential for educating patients and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care.
• Organizational skills help manage multiple patient needs and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with healthcare standards.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities enable the LVN to respond promptly to changes in patient status and implement appropriate interventions.
• Preferred skills such as proficiency with electronic health records enhance efficiency and accuracy in patient data management, contributing to improved healthcare delivery.
