The technician performs technical and clerical duties related to the hospital's unit dose drug distribution system and intravenous admixture program, including preparing IV medications and filling automated dispensing systems. Responsibilities also involve specialized tasks like documenting medication histories, compounding chemotherapy, and managing pharmacy inventory and automation.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, have successfully completed a Florida Board of Pharmacy approved technician training program, and be at least 18 years old. A minimum of three years of pharmacy experience is required, along with holding the Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential and current FLBOP registration.
