The coder will be responsible for reviewing and coding inpatient medical records for the facility in Temple, TX, ensuring accurate billing and compliance with regulatory guidelines. This involves working closely with healthcare providers to clarify documentation for accurate and efficient coding assignments.
Candidates must possess at least one credential (RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC) and a minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience in a hospital or medical facility. Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding systems, along with excellent analytical skills, is required, and applicants must be U.S. Citizens or hold a Green Card.
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and encoder tools. Knowledge of outpatient coding is a plus. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field (preferred). Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Additional benefits provided in accordance with contract requirements.
