The Activity Aide assists in planning and leading recreational and therapeutic activities such as games, arts & crafts, and music to enhance residents' quality of life and promote social interaction. Responsibilities also include encouraging participation, transporting residents, and documenting attendance and resident condition changes.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role, and previous experience in a nursing home or activities program is preferred. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrate compassion and patience when working with elderly or disabled populations.
