Pharmacy interns are responsible for the distribution of medications and assisting the clinical pharmacist with specific duties as prescribed by law, working in cooperation with other healthcare professionals. The intern will function in a per diem capacity with variable hours, including weekends, based on schedule and student availability during the school session.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a College of Pharmacy accredited by the Washington Pharmacy Quality Assurance Commission (PQAQ) and registered as a Pharmacy Intern by the Washington State Department of Health. The role requires excellent interpersonal and basic computer skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and physical capacity for tasks similar to a Pharmacy Technician, including prolonged standing and lifting up to 25 lbs.
