About the
Program:
Residential
Treatment
Program (STRTP): This short-term residential therapeutic program provides services to pregnant, parenting, and at-risk young women (and their children) ages 13-18 in the foster care and/or juvenile justice system. These youth are typically placed by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) or Probation Department.
Role
Summary: Responsible for providing services to meet the resident educational, mental health, and medical needs. Responsible for the case management and communication with county social workers regarding residents’ progress. Responsible for providing a healthy, therapeutic, and safe environment for residents and their children through direct care. Responsible to work with county social workers and probation officers to successfully transition residents into lower level of care.
Schedule
Monday-Thursday from 8:30am-6:00pm with a flex
Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

Duties and Responsibilities
Develop a self-sufficiency plan with each resident that describes objectives, action steps, timeframes, and supportive services necessary to achieve the objectives. Assist residents with the implementation of the self-sufficiency plan by meeting formally once a week with each resident in their home and informally as often as necessary. Continuously assess residents to identify changing needs and modify their self-sufficiency plan and staff interventions as necessary and plan for discharge concurrently. Documents residents progress; identifies possible need for professional services; communicates such findings to professional education staff. Assist intake coordinator with intake responsibilities including screening telephone referrals, reviewing intake packets, arranging and conducting pre-placement visits and interviews, determining admission decisions, and completing all necessary admission paperwork if needed. Orient new intakes to the program, including completing documentation. Provide Intensive Care Coordination and Intensive Home Based Services to residents placed in STRTP.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of one year of experience in a similar program Bilingual in Spanish, preferred Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier.
