The role involves competently performing stereotactic procedures, various types of mammography imaging including needle localization, and conducting quality control checks with required documentation. This position also requires assisting physicians with biopsies and aspirations while practicing sterile technique, and performing bone densitometry.
Candidates must graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program and be registered with ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist certified in Radiography and Mammography (R.T.(R)(M)(ARRT)). Required qualifications also include the ability to perform stereotactic procedures/QC and holding an American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Requires competency in stereotactic biopsy and/or ability to competently perform QC related to mammography. Additionally, this position is characterized by the ability to perform all types of mammography studies to include needle localization and ductograms. Works in areas requiring autonomy and indirect supervision.
