The Patient Care Technician delivers direct and indirect care, addressing patient dependency needs such as nutrition, hygiene, safety, and physical and psychological comfort measures under licensed nursing staff supervision. This role involves extensive interaction with patients, staff, physicians, family members, and visitors within patient settings.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and must hold a current Florida CNA certification. Nursing students are eligible if they are currently enrolled in an RN program and have successfully completed Fundamentals in Nursing, requiring transcript upload.
