The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will provide direct care to patients in outpatient and inpatient hybrid settings in collaboration with physicians, requiring the ability to identify emergent diagnostic information and communicate it timely. The provider will also prescribe, dispense, and administer therapeutic and corrective measures according to the scope of practice and collaborative relationships.
Candidates should be graduates of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Master’s program (preferred) and licensed in Connecticut, holding or eligible for National Board Certification. A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in cardiology, along with BLS and ACLS certification, is required.
The Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant will provide direct care to patients in the outpatient and inpatient (hybrid) setting in collaboration with physicians. Must have the ability to identify diagnostic information that should be considered emergent and communicate timely information to physician colleagues. The Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant, in collaboration with a licensed physician and in accordance the Nurse Practitioner’s scope of practice and collaborative relationships, prescribe, dispense and administer therapeutic and corrective measures. The provider should exhibit a passion for cardiology and be open to being part of a rapidly growing institute where adaptability is paramount.
