The clinician provides trauma-focused diagnostic assessments and enhanced evidence-based services for children, youth, and caregivers in the community and office, utilizing practices like TST, PCIT, and DBT. They collaborate with case managers and the psychiatric team, and provide emergency crisis intervention as needed.
A Master’s degree in a human services field is required, along with eligibility for licensure in Rhode Island as a Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Mental Health Counselor. Experience with trauma-exposed children is preferred, and proficiency with medical record software and strong communication skills are necessary.
Provides trauma-focused diagnostic assessments and enhanced evidence-based services for children, youth and their caregivers in the community and in the office using evidence-based practices such as Trauma Systems Therapy (TST), Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Collaborates on cases with case managers, psychiatric team, and other service providers to ensure best client care. Provides emergency crisis intervention/assessment as needed. Works as part of a trauma-focused multidisciplinary team to implement evidence-based practices with fidelity.
Master’s degree in human services (psychology, social work, marriage/family, etc.) required Required to be licensed or eligible to be licensed in Rhode Island as a Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist or Mental Health Counselor Experience working with children exposed to trauma preferred Skilled in operating various medical record software and hardware, word-processing, and database software programs Spanish Speaking preferred and is compensated Flexible schedule with some evenings Excellent multitasking and communication skills a must Ability to work independently and part of a team Bilingual/ASL skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay. Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8%, above base pay. Physical Requirements: This position requires residential and community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to: Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, registration and auto insurance Ability to communicate effectively Travel to and from clients’ residence, community locations and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators Ability to lift up to 20lbs Must be able to work remotely and in person adhering to PHI requirements Don’t meet every single requirement?
