The Physical Therapist is responsible for performing comprehensive resident evaluations, developing care plans, and providing therapeutic actions to relieve pain and maximize independence. Essential duties also include instructing residents and families, planning safe discharges, and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants and Students.
Candidates must be graduates of a state-approved School of Physical Therapy accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association and licensed as a Physical Therapist in Pennsylvania. Two years of experience in long-term care or a rehabilitation center is preferred, and CPR certification is strongly encouraged.
