Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, family, and/or other practical counseling in a variety of settings to meet the needs and treatment goals of clients.
  • Conduct intake/screening and comprehensive assessments within designated time frames set by state regulations.
  • Determine and document diagnoses based on thorough assessments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with agency standards that evolve based on assessment information.
  • Participate in treatment meetings and provide case feedback.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure authorized services are approved promptly.
  • Document all services provided in compliance with state regulations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate service entries and correct documentation deficiencies as needed.
  • Assist clients during transition processes, completing necessary correspondence and summaries.
  • Represent the agency professionally within the community.
  • Maintain positive relationships with referral sources, clients, and coworkers, adhering to ethical standards.
  • Handle crisis situations effectively and coordinate emergency services as required.
  • Facilitate group counseling, family therapy, and specialized services.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with the applicable state board.
  • Willingness to secure licensure in additional states as required.
  • Comfortable providing telehealth services, with training provided.

Additional Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a background check including criminal record and driving record.
  • Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and auto insurance required.
  • First Aid and CPR certification within three months of employment.
  • Knowledge of agency policies and regulations essential for the role.

Physical Requirements

  • Sedentary work involving the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently to lift and carry objects.
  • Repetitive movements of hands and fingers for typing and writing.
  • Ability to sit most of the time but may occasionally involve walking or standing.
