Responsibilities

• The MHT therapeutically interacts with the patient and assists in maintaining safety and cleanliness of the unit.
• Collaborates closely with the more experienced MHTs and Nurses to provide a therapeutic milieu under their guidance.
• MHTs are expected to use training skills consistently.
• The MHT functions as an active part of the treatment team, they are role models to patients and other MHT.
• The MHT work’s under the direction of a Registered Nurse/Therapist.

Qualifications

Education

High School Degree/GED required; or Associates Degree in a Human Services field; or Bachelors Degree in a Human Services field; or a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Experience

• One year of work experience in a behavioral health facility, or bachelor' s degree in social services or related field, plus one year of work experience in behavioral health service or delivery preferred.

• HOURS: 12 hour shifts available. PRN employees must work four shifts per month, one shift must include a weekend.
