By meticulously recording and interpreting results, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate diagnostic information to healthcare providers. As our Full Time Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) / Medical Technologist (MT), you will ensure the proper utilization and upkeep of laboratory equipment, adhering to stringent policies and safety protocols established by the Laboratory Medical Director. Your attention to detail and commitment to following procedures will contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. What matters most To excel in the role of a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) / Medical Technologist (MT)at Southwest Health System, Inc., candidates must possess a minimum of an Associate of Science Degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Biology. While 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist is preferred, motivated individuals looking to grow in the field are also encouraged to apply. National certification from ASCP or AMT, or eligibility for certification, is essential to demonstrate proficiency in laboratory practices. Additionally, holding current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR will ensure preparedness to handle any situation that may arise in the healthcare setting. These qualifications, combined with a passion for delivering meticulous and accurate results, will set the stage for a successful and fulfilling career at our organization. Knowledge and skills required for the position are: Minimum of a Associate of Science Degree in Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) / Medical Technologist (MT) Chemistry or Biology. 1-3 years Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) / Medical Technologist (MT) experience preferred.
