The Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy services, including selecting and using assistive equipment, reporting patient progress, and collaborating with the evaluating therapist to implement the care plan. Responsibilities also include performing comprehensive treatment, follow-up services, discharge planning, and educating patients and family members.
Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program and hold the required State Licensing Board Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) certification, along with American Heart Association CPR certification. A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and one year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant are mandatory, with one year of Home Healthcare Experience being preferred.
