The MRI Tech 3 performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic films, operating scanners and related equipment while adhering to protocols and performing advanced tasks like MRA reconstructions and QA maintenance. This role also involves assisting management with policy implementation, training new team members, and acting as a preceptor with basic leadership skills.
Candidates must have three years of progressive responsibility in an MRI diagnostic imaging department and hold required certifications, including ARRT-Radiographer or equivalent, plus Basic Life Support (BLS). The position requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to perform complex specialized tasks without constant supervision.
Education Technical Program Allied Health License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State General Radiographer, Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Radiation Therapy Technologist Certification ARRT-Radiographer or NMTCB- Nuclear Medicine or ARDMS Registered or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (AMRIT) certified and Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Red Cross or American Heart Association Work Experience Three (3) years progressive responsibility in an MRI diagnostic imaging department
